All is well between Manny Pacquiao and longtime promoter Top Rank
After threatening to start a legal battle over supposedly unpaid TV fees, Pacquiao said that things have been smoothed out between Bob Arum’s Top Rank and Team Pacquiao.
The Filipino boxing icon said his earlier post was just a result of “miscommunication” between both parties.
Pacquiao on Tuesday announced he was about to take “legal proceedings” against Top Rank regarding his US rights payment, which he allegedly did not receive, for his July 15 fight against Lucas Matthysse for the WBA World welterweight belt that was broadcast on ESPN+.

Arum said in an ESPN report that Top Rank’s legal department looked into the issue a day after Pacquiao’s Instagram post.
“We read the Instagram post and Harrison handled it with Pacquiao’s attorney, and it looks like everything will be resolved,” said Arum in ESPN’s report.
Pacquiao has since deleted the caption in his previous post.
As of posting time, Pacquiao is still in Top Rank’s fighter database.
“I would like to thank Bob and Top Rank for helping guide my career and for the many great years of working together,” said Pacquiao who had his peak during his time with Top Rank. “We have accomplished so many amazing things together.”
