Manny Pacquiao is taking on the challenge thrown at him by arch rival Floyd Mayweather Jr.
Anytime, anywhere, the Filipino global boxing great said as he would like to see his flashy American counterpart “occupy all corners of the ring.”
Pacquiao said Monday evening that he could fight Dec. 8 or early January in the United States but is not planning on extended training there.
“Why do I have to tune up?” the eight-division world champion said. “I just came from a fight in July. It’s just going to be a small adjustment if ever.”
That’s regardless of who he’s facing next.
“I’m in tiptop shape, I just came from a big fight, I can fight anytime. If it’s against Floyd, we’ll do it in the United States, if not, I’ll still do it in the United States. It’s been a long time,” the senator added.
Mayweather is flying into the country anytime this week for a business trip that may include his projected fight with Pacquiao.
