Senate President Tito Sotto and former Gilas Pilipinas coach Chot Reyes will see action in the revived Philippine Sportswriters Association Golf Cup presented by Manila Southwoods, San Miguel Beer and the Philippine Sports Commission on Tuesday at the Legends course in Cavite.
The event aims to raise funds for the PSA’s medical projects for its members.
Tee-off time will be at 7 a.m. shotgun style, with the tournament using the System 36 method of scoring and staking championship trophies in several divisions.
Richard Gomez, the Philippines’ chef de mission in the Indonesia Asian Games, has also been invited, along with Ginebra coach Tim Cone and NLEX assistant Jojo Lastimosa.
Ricky Vargas and Al Panlilio are also set to play with TNT KaTropa and the Meralco Bolts supporting the project as major sponsors. Other backers are Philippine Airlines, Sunrise Events, Rain or Shine, Mighty Sports, ICTSI, Bong Lopez, Luigi Tabuena and Forest Hills.
