Floyd Mayweather Jr. has again turned to Twitter in pursuing his desire to tangle with Manny Pacquiao.

This time, the flamboyant American went a step farther, boasting that he’s ready to deal the Filipino icon a whipping if the megabuck bout pushes through on May 5.

“January 16th was Dr. Martin Luther king’s birthday. January 17th is Muhammad Ali’s birthday,” Mayweather tweeted: “May 5th is Pacquiao ass whooping day.”

The jail-bound Mayweather, who in an earlier tweet called the Sarangani representative a punk, also refuted the claim of promoter Bob Arum that there’s really nobody to negotiate with from his camp.

“I am ready to fight Pacquiao 5/5/12. Bob Arum know the date can’t change. I have my guarantee. Call Schaefer & Al and stop lying to the public,” he said.

Mayweather was referring to Richard Schaefer of Golden Boy Promotions, which is expected to put up Mayweather’s guarantee for the showdown, and Al Haymon.

“First they say I am ducking the fight. But now it seems like I’m begging for the fight. What’s going on?” Mayweather added.

However, if Mayweather insists on a May 5 fight date, he’ll have to beg for it.

Pacquiao has several names—Miguel Cotto, Timothy Bradley, Juan Manuel Marquez and Lamont Peterson—lined up for him by Arum, who wants Pacquiao-Mayweather to be held late May or June 9.

Mayweather, on the other hand, is going to start serving his three-month sentence for domestic violence on June 1.
