Undefeated Dave Peñalosa dominates Tuwa in 2 rounds

Dave Peñalosa’s last fight ended quickly and so did his latest.

Peñalosa easily dispatched Twalib Tuwa in two rounds in the main event on Sunday before at SM North Edsa SkyDome in Quezon City.

The Filipino featherweight prospect completed a total sweep by the Philippines over Tanzania with all four Filipinos scoring knockout victories.

The 27-year-old Peñalosa dropped Tuwa, a former African champion, twice with the last in the 2:15 mark of the second round after unleashing a crisp left to the midsection.

Peñalosa, nephew of former two-division world champion Gerry, kept his record clean with 14 wins, 10 via knockouts.

In the co-featured bout, rising star Reymart Gaballo dismantled Julias Kisarawe with a first-round knockout.

Former world champion Marlon Tapales also pulled off a KO in the opening round after crushing Goodluck Mrema with one punch to the temple while Carlo Peñalosa, Dave’s cousin, stopped James Kibazange in the third.
