Gorayeb-led PLDT returns to PSL in All-Filipino Cup

PLDT is set to return to the Philippine Superliga which begins its All-Filipino Conference on October 30.

PLDT is among the PSL’s founding teams when the league was established in 2013.

“After almost five years, PLDT is finally coming home,” said PSL chairman Philip Ella Juico.

“We’re very glad to have them back into our family. We look forward to see them compete against the best club teams in the country and offer intense action and high level of competition.”

With PLDT merging with Smart in its re-entry, the league will now have eight club teams.

Multi-titled mentor Roger Gorayeb will call the shots and will have national team members Jasmine Nabor, Grethcel Soltones at his disposal.

Joining the two are Aiko Urdas, Alyssa Eroa, Angel Cayuna, Czarina Carandang, Jerili Malabanan, Jorelle Singh and Celine Domingo.

Weterans Lizlee Anne Pantone and Lou Ann Latigay are also expected to make their PSL return.

“The players of PLDT have been together for quite some time. We expect them to hit the ground running and give the big guns of the PSL a serious run for their money.”

PLDT will slug it out with F2 Logistics, Foton, Generika-Ayala, Sta. Lucia, Cocolife and Cignal HD.
