Emilio Aguinaldo College is determined to end its season on a winning note despite missing another trip to the Final Four.

And so far, the Generals have been on a mini resurgence after racking up two straight victories over Final Four contender College of St. Benilde on Friday and Arellano University on Tuesday.

“I’m already seeing my players’ desire to win,” said EAC head coach Ariel Sison in Filipino after his team’s 78-70 win over the Chiefs. “Hopefully, we can keep winning, we still have three games left.”

The Generals wrap up their season against Mapua, University of Perpetual Help and Jose Rizal University and they’re eyeing no less than a three-game sweep.

Guard Jerome Garcia, who is in his final year, said Emilio Aguinaldo College is upbeat with momentum on its side heading into the final stretch.

“From the start of the season my goal is to help the team win as many games as possible,” said Garcia, who also aims to end his NCAA playing career on a high.

“We lost many games to begin the season but giving up is not a option for me and I will do my best to help us win.”

Garcia did just that against the Chiefs, firing 25 points, 17 coming in the first half where the Generals built a 48-30 halftime lead.

He also collected six rebounds and five assists as EAC improved to 4-11, just half a game behind Arellano and San Sebastian, who are currently tied for sixth place.

“We already won two straight but I’m sure every practice we’re going to give more than 100 percent because we want to keep winning,” Garcia said. “Our confidence is really high right now.”
