Ejected Tolentino says FEU will appeal his looming suspension

Far Eastern University is set to appeal Arvin Tolentino’s imminent suspension for its next matchup against defending champion Ateneo in the UAAP Season 81 men’s basketball tournament.

Tolentino was slapped with a disqualifying foul after he clotheslined Adamson University forward Sean Manganti with 3:43 left in regulation with FEU leading, 75-68.

“Sir Mark told me that they will appeal the suspension,” said Tolentino, referring to FEU’s athletic director Mark Molina, after his team’s 88-85 win over the Falcons.

“I hope they review it and if they downgrade it then I’d be happy with it but if not we can’t do anything about it.”

Tolentino is one of FEU’s reliable options this season. putting up average numbers of 11.8 points and 4.3 rebounds in six games.

His 19 points against Adamson was his season-high and he also grabbed four rebounds.

“It would be unfortunate for me if the suspension pushes through, I’m just praying that they downgrade it.”
