The Philippines added two more medals to its 2018 Asian Para Games haul with table tennis standout Josephine Medina winning silver and cyclist Godfrey Taberna bagging bronze Tuesday in Jakarta, Indonesia.
Medina bowed to Mao Jingdian of China in three sets, 11-8, 11-3, 11-6, in the gold medal match of the women’s singles table tennis TT8 final.
Taberna, meanwhile, clocked 2:11:24.359 to finish in close third place in men’s road race C4 final at Sentul International Circuit.
Guoping Wei of China topped the race with a time of 2:11:23.665, while Mohd Najib of Malaysia ended up second with 2:11:24.307.
The Philippines is in 13th place in the medal standings with two gold medals, three silvers and four bronzes.
China continues to dominate the medal standings with 62 golds, 27 silvers and 25 bronzes.
