Arvin Tolentino is known more for his sweet-shooting and his vital role as a scorer and floor spacer for Far Eastern University.
Tolentino, however, is making a bad account of himself lately with consecutive disqualifying fouls in the Tamaraws’ games against Adamson and University of Santo Tomas.
The forward was slapped with his second disqualifying foul of the season on Sunday when he hit UST forward Zach Huang in the cheek late in the fourth quarter in 78-70 loss to the Growling Tigers.

“I mean, for sure, people will say things about me especially the people who only watch the game but don’t play it,” said Tolentino, who missed FEU’s win over Ateneo after serving a one-game suspension, in Filipino Sunday at Mall of Asia Arena.
“They don’t understand what happens on the court, well that’s fine, but what happened was just part of the game. I fully understand if they give me this kind of reputation especially since they’re fans of the opposing team. You just can’t judge a person by what you see on the basketball court.”
Tolentino was whistled with a disqualifying foul after he clotheslined Adamson’s Sean Manganti in the Tamaraws’ 88-85 win over the Falcons in overtime exactly a week ago.

The Tamaraws’ duel against the Tigers was Tolentino’s first game back from his suspension.
After his latest disqualifying foul, though, Tolentino will surely miss the Tamaraws’ next game, which is also against Ateneo.
“I’m ready for the suspension, I just want to apologize to Zach and that I don’t have any intention to hurt him,” said Tolentino, who had 11 points and 11 rebounds before his exit with less than a minute remaining.
