Graduating player Maddie Madayag knows the importance of playing at her best every time Motolite-Ateneo is on the court.
“I know that what the young players see in us would create an impression on them,” said Madayag. “So I have to always be at my best. When I realized I’m not up to speed, I would knock myself back on and wake myself up.”
Madayag and another team leader, Bea de Leon, have provided the much needed veteran push for Motolite-Ateneo which has strung up three straight wins in the Premier Volleyball League.
The economics senior said their steady play will help establish a culture for a team that also parades promising rookies like Jaja Maraguinot and Vanie Gandler.
Meanwhile, winless teams Akari-Adamson and Iriga-Navy, both toting 0-6 cards, collide at 4 p.m. on Saturday, while struggling Pocari-Air Force battles Tacloban at 6 p.m. at Filoil Flying V Arena.
