Tubino, Paat back for Cignal in PSL
Familiar faces are set to return to Cignal as the team attempts to hold its place among the league’s elite come the Philippine Superliga All-Filipino Conference.
HD Spikers head coach Edgar Barroga said Royse Tubino and former national team player Mylene Paat will return to help the team replicate the success they had in the Invitational Conference in 2017.
“We like our chances this conference, all our needs were addressed both on offense and defense,” said Barroga. “Right now we’re working on chemistry inside and outside the court.”

Lutgarda Malaluan and Roselyn Doria were also added to the team that finished with the bronze medal in last year’s All-Filipino Conference.
Skipper Rachel Anne Daquis will lead the holdovers together with Janine Navarro, Rialen Sante, Jheck Dionela, Acy Masangkay, Cherry Vivas, Cindy Amutan, May Macatuno, Rap Aguilar, and Shirley Salamagos.

“We’re slowly completing the pieces, it’s a matter of making them work together,” said Barroga who took over former head coach George Pascua. “Our goal this year is to match or surpass what we’ve accomplished last year.”
“I know it’s not going to be easy, but I’m confident the girls will work hard to get it.”
