Perpetual tossers sweep NCAA elimination round

MANILA, Philippines – University of Perpetual Help pulled off contrasting wins to sweep the nine-game elimination round of the 87th NCAA men’s and women’s volleyball tournament at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium Monday.

The Lady Altas smashed the Arellano U Lady Chiefs, 25-18, 25-20, 25-17, while the Altas turned back the Chiefs, 25-14, 22-25, 25-21, 25-19, to both end the elims with 9-0 slates.

Perpetual will take on Emilio Aguinaldo while defending champion San Sebastian will tackle last year’s runner-up Letran in the women’s semifinals Wednesday at the same venue.

In the men’s side, it will be Perpetual versus College of St. Benilde.
