Dana White to Floyd Mayweather: Fight Khabib Nurmagomedov in UFC

UFC President Dana White isn’t about to let one of his fighters go to the land of boxing legend Floyd Mayweather Jr.

As per TMX, h/t to BoxingScene.com, White said that if Mayweather wants to fight UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov the undefeated boxer has to step inside the Octagon.

“Listen, if Mayweather wants to fight, come fight, you fight in the UFC,” said White in the report. “We’re not boxing him, we did that once, that’s over.”

Mayweather, a five-division boxing champion, achieved his perfect 50-0 mark when he beat UFC superstar Conor McGregor in August of 2017 in one of the most-watched fights ever.

The cross-promotion bout had the second-most pay-per-view buys in history garnering 4.3 million buys.

Mayweather’s mega fight against rival Manny Pacquiao had the most pay-per-view buys with 4.6 million.

White, however, was adamant that a crossover fight between Mayweather and Nurmagomedov must happen inside a UFC cage.

“You want to fight? You come fight… a real fight,” said White.
