LeBron James teases about playing with Kobe Bryant: ‘Imagine if we had’

LeBron James’ start to his first season with the Los Angeles Lakers has been without a doubt a circus.

The Lakers own a 3-5 record and are the 11th seed in the Western Conference but the King is someone who can find, and create, motivation on a whim.

James on Thursday posted an edited photo, originally uploaded by Slam, ff him and Laker legend Kobe Bryant sharing the floor with a cryptic caption.

“Man, imagine if we had, it wouldn’t even be…never mind,” said James in the post that has so far reached 2,193,883 likes as of writing time.

For the longest time, James and Bryant were largely considered rivals when the two took the floor for their respective teams.

Bryant earlier teased about the possibility of teaming with LeBron, telling talkshow host Jimmy Kimmell  that he will consider going back to the Lakers if the team went 0-5.

The Lakers finally grabbed their first win last October 25 after beating the Suns, but James was still left with a lot to figure out after they bowed to Minnesota, 124-120.

“You probably don’t want to be around when my patience runs out,” the four-time MVP was quoted by Spectrum SportsNet (h/t Bob Garcia of Sports Out West) as saying. “I’m serious.”

The Lakers have since bounced back from that loss and narrowly beat Dallas 114-113.
