Adamson grabs FCBL top spot
MANILA, Philippines—Adamson held off Ateneo, 66-57, to complete a seven-game sweep of the elimination round in the FCBL Dickies Cup Saturday at the Philippine Buddhacare gym in Quezon City.
Like in their spine-tingling 67-66 win over University of Santo Tomas on Jan. 21, the Lady Falcons leaned on the streak-shooting Jinky Balasta who scored 10 of her team-high 15 points in the payoff period to prevail.
Balasta also had three assists and the same number of rebounds and steals to win the Dickies Underwear Player of the Game award for the second straight week in the event presented by Dickies.
