In collecting its second straight victory, BanKo Perlas chucked Adamson-Akari out of the running Sunday night.

The Perlas Spikers repeated over the Lady Falcons, 25-17, 25-17, 15-18, to occupy solo second spot in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) Open Conference at Filoil Flying V Centre in
San Juan.

It was BanKo Perlas’ second straight win after it downed Iriga-Navy last Oct. 24.

In the main game, Motolite-Ateneo placed one foot in the semifinals while using the other to kick Iriga-Navy closer to an early vacation.

Using their full strength, the Lady Eagles firmed up its hold of the leadership after disposing of the Lady Oragons, 25-17, 25-19, 25-22.

With veteran Kathy Bersola, Nicole Tiamzon, Dzi Gervacio and Joy Dacoron combining forces, the Perlas Spikers touched off the rout by playing at their own pace.

The Lady Falcons tried to shoot their way out of it, out-attacking the Perlas Spikers, 14-9, in the first set. But they also threw away 13 points on errors.
