It isn’t quite the surprise that powerhouses Petron and F2 Logistics will be gunning for a third straight win against separate opponents on Thursday in the Philippine Superliga All-Filipino conference.
But Foton also doing the same at Filoil Flying V Centre?
The Tornadoes are in the midst of rebuilding after twin towers Dindin Manabat and Jaja Santiago left to play as imports in the Japan pro league but Foton’s coach Aaron Velez managed to play his cards right, steering the team to victories over Cignal and Generika-Ayala.
“We realize that there’s no shortcut, and we just have to go out there and play,” said Velez, who counts on CJ Rosario and Mina Aganon to take charge.
Now Foton will shoot for win No. 3 going against Sta. Lucia, which is sporting a 0-2 record.
The tripleheader starts at 2 p.m.
Likewise hoping to extend its winning streak is F2 Logistics, which will test the mettle of winless Cocolife.
Defending champion Petron will be taking on Smart, whose nucleus is composed of Grethcel Soltones, Aiko Urdas and Jasmine Nabor—all major stars of the rival Premier Volleyball League.
