ONE: Heart of Lion kicks off with quick wins from Engelen, Xie

SINGAPORE — Anthony Engelen of the Netherlands kicked off ONE: Heart of the Lion in style after he scored a quick knockout of Meas Meul of Cambodia in the curtain raiser on Friday at Singapore Indoor Stadium here.

It only took 19 seconds for Engelen to dispose of Meul, who was knocked out after taking a brutal head kick in the opening round.

China’s Xie Bin also made short work of Hisyam Samsudin in their bantamweight bout.

Bin submitted Samsudin with a choke at the 3:19 mark of the first round.

In the third fight of the night, Shuya Kamikubo beat Muhammad Aiman by unanimous decision after three rounds.

Filipino Kevin Belingon of Team Lakay and Bibiano Fernandes meet in a bantamweight title unification fight in the main event.
