Foton faces tough test vs F2 Logistics

Foton puts its unbeaten run at stake as it guns for the solo against F2 Logistics on Thursday in the Philippine Superliga All-Filipino Conference at Filoil Flying V Centre.

Game time is at 7 p.m., with the Tornadoes wary about the Cargo Movers, who are eager to bounce back after a shock defeat to Generika-Ayala the other day.

The Lifesavers, meanwhile, hope to build on the momentum of that win when they tackle winless Sta. Lucia at 4:15 p.m. Smart and Cocolife open a busy tripleheader at 1:30 p.m.

Little was expected of Foton this conference after its top stars, sisters Jaja Santiago and Dindin Manabat, opted to play in the V.Premier League in Japan. But somehow, the Tornadoes have sizzled with four straight wins to tie Petron at the helm.

But rookie mentor Aaron Velez knows that things are only going to get harder from hereon, with teams getting aware of how Foton has reconfigured its attack.

“We will still prepare, but we will focus more on ourselves,” said Velez.
