Filipino fighter Jeremy Miado scored an emphatic technical knockout victory over China’s Peng Xue Wen 35 seconds into the second round of their strawweight bout in the preliminaries of the ONE: Conquest of Champions card Friday at Mall of Asia Arena.

Miado dictated the tempo of the match with his relentless striking before tagging Peng with a right uppercut that sent the Chinese fighter crashing to the canvas.

After a few more hits, Yuji Shimada called to stop the contest.

Miado improved to 8-3 while Xue dropped to 3-4.

In the second match of the preliminaries, Filipino Rockie Bactol fell to Japan’s Ajihiro Fujisawa via technical knockout after referee Olivier Coste called a stop to the fight 4:40 into the third round.

Fujisawa had control for much of the fight, utilizing his ground skills to keep Bactol from getting any offensive momentum.

This was Fujisawa’s fifth straight win in as many professional fights while Bactol is at 1-1.
