Creamline snags top seeding

Stepping on the gas right from the get-go, Creamline dominated Adamson, 25-7, 25-11, 25-10 on Saturday to claim the top seeding in Final Four play of the Premier Volleyball League Season 2 Open Conference at Batangas City Coliseum.

Creamline closed out with wins in its last two matches and drew No. 4 PetroGazz in a best-of-three match-up starting Wednesday back at Filoil Flying V Centre in San Juan.

Earlier, BanKo-Perlas, went the full distance against Tacloban before pulling out a 25-22, 25-19, 29-31, 11-25, 15-11 victory to actually finish tied for first with Creamline at 11-3.

But a superior tiebreak had the Cool Smashers claiming No. 1 and pushing the Perlas Spikers to a separate race-to-two series against third-ranked Ateneo-Motolite (10-4) for the other title series berth.

The Cool Smashers were all business right from the first serve, pouring in 11 attack points.
