SWIMMER JHESSIE King Lacuna finished fifth in his heat in the 200-meter butterfly of the Youth Olympic Games yesterday in Singapore.   The 16-year-old Lacuna clocked two minutes and 6.38 seconds and was ranked 15th overall in his third and last event.   The Bulacan-based Lacuna’s worthiest performance came in his favorite 200m freestyle where he barged into the finals and ended up eighth and last.   He also saw action in the 100m free and wound up 19th in the 54-man field.   The country’s three-on-three basketball team of Bobby Ray Parks, Jr., Jeron Teng, Cris Michael Tolomia and Michael Pate remains alive in the consolation pool.   After beating South Africa, 26-12, last Thursday, the cagers have to prevail over Central Africa to gain a crack at the winner of the New Zealand-Iran match for ninth place.   The RP cagers earlier lost to Virgin Islands, Spain and Croatia.   Jasmine Al-Khaldi, the other Filipino swimmer, closed out her stint with a 17th place finish in the 50m free with a time of 27.10 seconds   Meanwhile, the Games were given a boost Friday when British diver Tom Daley, the event’s most famous athlete, announced he will participate despite suffering a tricep injury at the European Championships.   Daley, who became the youngest diver, at 15, to win a world title in men’s platform earlier this year, said he might not participate in the inaugural Youth games. But the British Olympic Association said that Daley would join the 3-meter springboard competition on Sunday. Marc Anthony Reyes, Associated Press
