PH to go all out in Friendship tilt

It’s all about fostering brotherhood and bolstering economic ties, but don’t be surprised if the Philippines goes all out for gold medals in the Brunei-Indonesia-Malaysia-Philippines-Northern Territory-East Asian Growth Areas (BIMPNT-EAGA) Friendship Games slated Dec. 7 to 9 in Brunei Darussalam.

Headed by chef de mission and commissioner Charles Raymond Maxey of the PSC, the 122-strong Philippine delegation will see action in athletics, aquatics (swimming), lawn bowls, karatedo (kata), sepak takraw, pencak silat, taekwondo and wushu.

The Philippines will be represented by athletes from Davao and Palawan.

On top of the regular games, the BIMPNT-EAGA features a Youth Exchange Program.

This will be the first time Brunei will host the games. —DENNIS U. EROA
