The Philippine Bowling Federation (PBF) has found a way to bring in more talents for the national team that will vie in next year’s Southeast Asian Games to be hosted by the country.

Bowling great Bong Coo and top officials have encouraged over a thousand PBF members overseas to join their ranks.

“We have expanded our talent base in an effort to find the best Filipino bowler not only within the country, but in the entire world,” said Coo, PBF secretary general and top executive of Magallanes Bowling Association (MBA).

The 2nd MBA Global Classic, a tournament designed for overseas Filipinos according to Coo, will be held Dec. 26 at Starmall Bowling Center in Alabang.
The champions can try out for national team spots.

“The deeper the pool, the better our chances of discovering more bowlers,” said Coo, a Philippine Sports Hall of Famer.
