Davao hammers listless Bacoor; Cebu triumphs

Davao Occidental pounced on a listless Bacoor City as the Tigers rolled to an emphatic 69-50 victory on Wednesday night to extend their winning streak to 12 games in the MPBL Datu Cup at Strike Gym in Cavite.

Veteran Mark Yee fired 17 points and grabbed 11 rebounds, while Leo Najorda finished with 16 points for the Tigers, who tightened their grip of top spot in the South division by improving to 14-3.

Unfazed by the home crowd, the Tigers took the Strikers out of their comfort zone with their stingy defense as they held their foes to just 37 points in the first three periods.

Earlier, Cebu City snapped a two-game slide by pummeling an undermanned Pasay squad, 76-61.

Raffy Octobre notched another double double with 17 points and 12 rebounds, while Patrick Cabahug returned from an injury and chipped in 12 points.
