Boxer Maquinto still in critical condition

MANILA, Philippines—Boxer Carlo Maquinto remained comatose Monday after forging a draw against flyweight Mark Joseph Costa in eight rounds Saturday night at the Recom Gym in Caloocan City.

According to a GMA 7 report, Maquinto is too weak to be operated on at the FEU Hospital in Fairview, Quezon City, or be transferred to another hospital for blood clot in the brain.
