Carlo Biado makes World 9-Ball Championship quarterfinals

Carlo Biado, the last Filipino standing in the 2018 World 9-Ball Championship in Doha, Qatar, is still alive and kicking.

Biado, the Southeast Asian Games gold medalist, bested Wu Jiaqing of China, 11-9, to enter the quarterfinal round.The win kept Biado’s bid for a title repeat going.

The 35-year-old Biado arranged a duel with Lin Wu Kun of Chinese Taipei scheduled on Wednesday, 8 p.m.

Lin advanced to the quarters after beating Petri Makkonen of Finland, 11-6, in the Round of 16.
