MANILA, Philippines—Alab Pilipinas kept its hot streak going after turning back the Singapore Slingers, 77-71, in the 9th Asean Basketball League Season Sunday night at Caloocan Sports Complex.

Puerto Rican reinforcements PJ Ramos and Renaldo Balkman and reigning two-time Local MVP Ray Parks shone anew for Alab, which improved its league-best record to 4-0.

The 7-foot-3 Ramos was literally and figuratively head and shoulders above the competition as he finished with 26 points, 17 rebounds and five assists while Balkman did damage on both ends with 20 points, 16 rebounds and three blocks.

Parks showed why he’s one of the top picks in the 2018 PBA Draft with 18 points, six rebounds and three steals.

The Slingers stayed in striking distance and didn’t go down without a fight.

Alab, however, just had too much firepower with Ramos and Balkman leading the way as Singapore dropped to 5-3.
