How hard is it to be a basketball player? Just take a look at June Mar Fajardo’s feet

MANILA, Philippines—Achieving superhuman feats of strength, speed, and stamina for elite athletes take a toll on a human body.

There are countless sacrifices these players have to endure to be on top of their game, like having your feet go through the torture of the daily grind in basketball.

June Mar’s size 17 foot.

While boxers have calloused and inflamed knuckles for using their hands too much, most basketball players have almost misshapen feet due to constant running, cutting, and jumping.

It’s no different for four-time PBA MVP June Mar Fajardo, whose feet look like a size 17 version of Lotus Feet’s.

But if having an ugly foot is the price for being the best player of his generation in the PBA, and even of all time, then it’s a small price to pay.
