Jett Manuel bid farewell to his short but sweet PBA career where he played just one season for Barangay Ginebra.
Manuel, the former University of the Philippines captain, wrote an emotional goodbye on his Instagram account on Friday.
“Grateful. To Ginebra. To UP. To Xavier. To my coaches. To my teammates. To my family. To the fans,” Manuel posted.
“It was definitely short, but definitely sweet. Choosing to retire wasn’t easy but I’m excited for everything that lies ahead. I’ll always be connected to the game of basketball, but in a different form this time.”

The 26-year-old Manuel, who is a licensed civil engineer, played sparingly but he still retired in the PBA with one championship as part of Ginebra’s title run in the 2018 Commissioner’s Cup.
Manuel was picked 12th overall by the Gin Kings in the 2017 PBA Draft.
