Time to move on: Chris Tiu retires from basketball
Chris Tiu on Tuesday officially announced his retirement, ending a fruitful basketball career highlighted by a UAAP championship, a national team stint, and a PBA title.
Tiu hanging up his sneakers was expected after already leaning towards retirement following Rain or Shine’s last game of the 2018 season.

The 33-year-old Tiu walked away in style after delivering a career performance in what turned out to be his final PBA game.

Tiu, a true class act on and off the court, played six seasons in the PBA all with the Elasto Painters, who was selected seventh overall in the 2012 draft. He won his lone crown in the 2016 Commissioner’s Cup.
