Calasiao to host 2019 PBA All-Star festivities in March

The 2019 PBA All-Star Week will be in Calasiao, Pangasinan, PBA commissioner Willie Marcial announced Tuesday.

Marcial also said the league will do away with its Luzon-Visayas-Mindanao format which has been the PBA’s way of staging the festivities for the past two years.

“Calasiao won the bidding so we will stage the All-Star Week there in March,” said Marcial during the preseason press conference at Conrad Hotel. “It’s only going to be in one city.”

Last year, the annual spectacle was held in three different venues in Batangas, Iloilo and Davao on May 23 to 27.

The 44th PBA Season tips off on Sunday with Barangay Ginebra facing fierce rival TNT at Philippine Arena in Bocaue, Bulacan.
