PBA hopes to lure more fans to live games with discounted ticket prices, promos

MANILA, Philippines—The PBA bared its plans to lower ticket prices as well as offer promos to encourage more fans to watch the games live.

PBA Commissioner Willie Marcial said he wants the fans of the league to experience the live atmosphere of a game day.

“We will have a lot of gimmicks for those fans who will watch the games live in the coliseum and we will also implement ticket promos for this season where fans can avail huge discounts,” said Marcial in Filipino during the PBA Media Day Thursday at Solaire Resort and Casino.

Fans can buy products of PBA teams and provide proofs of purchase to avail of the discounts.

Marcial added that the league would ramp up its public presence with continuous corporate social responsibility events and more provincial games so fans outside Metro Manila can experience the live PBA atmosphere.

“The fans will surely see our gimmicks for our live games, we will be heavy on the CSRs, we will bring more games to the province so we can be closer to the guys outside Manila,” said Marcial, who is entering just his second season as commissioner.

“The fans really are the lifeblood of the PBA.”
