MANILA, Philippines—Manny Pacquiao is off to his first defense of the WBA World welterweight title as he takes on Adrien Broner Sunday (Manila time) at MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

The Hall-of-fame bound Pacquiao (60-7-2) is the sport’s only eight-division World champion and is defending the strap he won from Lucas Matthysse in July of 2018.

Broner (33-3-1) is looking for his first win since scoring a split decision victory over Adrian Granados in February 2017.

Pacquiao is aggressive early on in the fight, pinning Broner to the corner less than 30 seconds into the first round.

The Filipino then takes the fight to the ropes but Broner is able to get away only for Pacquio to once again throw another flurry.

Broner is clearly on the defensive waiting for an opportunity to throw in a counter amid Pacquiao’s continuous flurries.
