MANILA, Philippines – Malacañang congratulated on Sunday Nonito Donaire Jr., for winning the WBO super bantamweight title after he defeated Puerto Rican boxer Wilfrido Vasquez Jr. in their bout in San Antonio, Texas.
Deputy presidential spokesperson Abigail Valte extended the Palace congratulations to Donaire on government radio dzRB upon learning the good news.
“Congratulations to Filipino Flash Donaire,” Valte said of Donaire.
“Your victory will certainly bring again pride and honor to Filipinos who are really avid boxing fanatics,” she added.
