RR Pogoy lifts TNT over Magnolia in OT

RR Pogoy hit five straight points late on Sunday night and keyed an 80-75 overtime victory by TNT KaTropa over a debuting Magnolia in the PBA Philippine Cup eliminations at Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay.

Pogoy first hit a triple that snapped the game’s last tie at 74, before drilling a gorgeous turnaround jumper with 29.9 ticks remaining as the Texters climbed back to .500 after winning their third game in six starts.

Pogoy finished with 26 points, with Jason Castro chipping in 24.

Troy Rosario sent the game into extension after hitting a short stab courtesy of a Jayson Castro assist for 72-all with 2.1 seconds remaining.

Ryan Reyes almost won it in regulation for the Texters after nearly converting on a heave from about 75 feet.
