Lady Chiefs forces winner-take-all Game 3 in NCAA volleyball finals

MANILA, Philippines—Arellano isn’t giving up its three-peat bid yet after it buckled down to work to turn back University of Perpetual Help, 23-25, 25-9, 25-18, 22-25, 15-12, in Game 2 of the NCAA Season 94 women’s volleyball tournament Friday at Filoil Flying V Center.

Season MVP Necole Ebuen and Princess Bello lit up with 18 points for the Lady Chiefs, who are also in search of their fourth title in five seasons, to extend the series to a winner-take-all game 3.

Carla Donato and Regine Arrocha also had solid performances for Arellano with 13 and 12 points, respectively.

Cindy Embo led the Lady Altas, who won the series opener 21-25, 25-17, 25-21, 25-20, with 15 points.

The two teams will play the title decider on Tuesday.
