MANILA, Philippines—Flyweight prospect Dave “Doberman” Apolinario made target practice out of compatriot Romshane Sarguilla Saturday at the start of main bouts of ESPN5’s fight card at Midas Hotel and Casino in Pasay City.

Apolinario was relentless yet careful and was never in trouble throughout the fight.

The 20-year-old Apolinario cruised to a unanimous decision with two of the judges scoring it, 79-72, and the other, 80-71.

The Sarangani native improved his undefeated record to 10-0 with six knockouts while dealing Sarguilla his second loss against seven wins.

Apolinario attacked with precision while also making Sarquilla throw punches in the air.

Saquilla, to his credit, was tough-as-nails as he managed to go the full eight rounds despite all the punishment he took from Apolinario.
