ABL: PJ Ramos returns as Alab Pilipinas dominates Wolf Warriors
PJ Ramos returned and San Miguel Alab Pilipinas got back on the winning track after a 105-79 rout of the Zhuhai Wolf Warriors in the 2019 Asean Basketball League Friday night at Doumen Gymnasium in Zhuhai, China.
Ramos, who came back from a one-game absence due to food poisoning, tallied a triple-double with 15 points, 14 rebounds and 11 assists as Alab bounced back from an 88-83 loss to Hong Kong Eastern on Wednesday.
Article continues after this advertisementRenaldo Balkman had a team-high 19 points on top of seven rebounds, five assists and two steals while reigning two-time Local MVP Ray Parks also scored 15 for league-leading Alab, which upped its record to 14-3.
Parks buried 10 of his 15 points during a pivotal second quarter run that turned a seven-point deficit into a 49-35 halftime lead.
Alab improved to 3-0 against the Warriors, who are currently at the bottom of the standings with a 2-16 card.
Article continues after this advertisementMike Bell had 22 points, 14 rebounds and six assists for the Warriors, who shot just 37 percent from the field and allowed Alab to hit 51 percent from the floor including 12-of-26 from downtown.
