PBA D-League: Arvin Tolentino’s double-double leads Wangs past Trinity

MANILA, Philippines—Wangs Basketball gave The Masterpiece Clothing-Trinity University of Asia a hard pounding for the  89-69 win in the 2019 PBA D-League Thursday at Ynares Sports Arena.

Arvin Tolentino continuously drilled the White Stallions’ defense to the tune of 13 points while also banging bodies underneath to grab 10 rebounds.

“We’re very happy because I really saw the effort of my players and all of hard work ultimately paid off,” said Wangs head coach Pablo Lucas in Filipino.

Tolentino and Daryl Singontiko waxed hot for the Couriers as the twosome exploded for 23 points to give their team a 67-47 lead in the third quarter.

Axel Iñigo filled the stat sheets for Wangs with 12 points, six rebounds, and four assists while Radge Tongco had his own moments with 13 points five assists, and three rebounds.

Michael Canete led Trinity with 19 points and 10 boards.
