Baguio hosts URCC-MMA
MANILA, Philippines—The Universal Reality Combat Championship is staging another action-packed mixed martial arts (MMA) event, the Colt 45 URCC Baguio: Battleground 4, on Feb. 18 at the Baguio Convention Center.
Baguio and Cordillera will be out to prove anew that some of the best wushu practitioners come from their place when they field champion fighter Roy “The Punisher” Docyogen.
Docyogen is the reigning URCC pinweight king. He will go up against former WBC titleholder Rodel “Kid” Orais in the Superfight, the featured match in the 10-fight affair presented by Colt 45 and sponsored by Chris Sports and Bulls Gloves.
Article continues after this advertisementURCC president Alvin Aguilar sees another fierce and exciting encounter as both Docyogen and Orais have their own styles and strengths.
“They are two of the best MMA fighters, so I expect another close call,” said Aguilar. Another local fighter to watch is Arnold Agapito, who is hoping to win the vacant URCC featherweight title against Davao’s Ricardo “El Matador” Sapno.
