Gymnast Yulo strikes gold in Melbourne worlds

Filipino Carlos Yulo bagged gold in the men’s floor finals of the 2019 FIG World Cup Gymnastics in Melbourne, Australia, on Saturday.  Yulo registered 14.566 to top Hibiki Arayashiki of Japan, who submitted 14.500.  Rayderley Zapata of Spain and Dominic Cunningham of Great Britan shared third place.  The Olympic hopeful, who just turned 19 on Feb. 16, also made the country proud last year after bagging the bronze medal in the Artistic Gymnastics World Championships in Doha, Qatar—the first Filipino to make the finals of the event.  —INQUIRER.NET
