Ateneo survived a third-set assault by University of the Philippines to win, 25-21, 25-15, 28-26, Sunday night stretching its winning streak all the way to solo top spot in the UAAP women’s volleyball ay Filoil Flying V Centre in San Juan.

Playing the brand of game absent during the inaugurals, the Lady Eagles have since strung up four straight victories to take leadership with a 4-1 record.

UP, which was the first team to have dealt three-time defending champion La Salle its first loss this season, wasn’t able to get into the groove after committing 11 errors in the first set alone.
