MANILA—National University tries to halt a twogame skid against a La Salle side fresh from its annual US training in the 2011 FilOilFlying V Hanes Preseason Premier Cup today.
The Bulldogs, running third in Group A with a 4-2 record, tangle with the Green Archers at 3:15 p.m. at the FilOil-Flying V Arena in San Juan.
“We just need to continue pushing,’’ said NU coach Eric Altamirano. “It’s about our development as a team. That’s what we need to see as each game passes.”
In the first game, Mapua (3-2) and University of the East (3-4) vie to pull away from the middle of the Group B pack in the only other seniors match at 1:30 p.m.
La Salle last played on April 27 when the Archers bowed to NCAA powerhouse San Sebastian, 88-81, to slip to 1-2.
Meanwhile, ringside tickets for the June 4 showdown between rivals Ateneo and La Salle have been sold out. But lower box (P200) and upper box (P100) tickets are still available at all SM Ticket outlet
