MANILA, Philippines—National athletes and coaches now have access to top nutritional care after the Philippine Sports Commission started the operation of its Nutrition Hall at Rizal Memorial Sports Complex.
The PSC Nutrition Unit conducted biometrics organization and nutrition assessment on the athletes and coaches included in the national pool so they could receive the proper food recommended by nutritionists.

“There were a lot of challenges along the way but this is a promise that PSC Chairman William Ramirez made and made sure to keep,” said senior executive Assistant Marc Edward Velasco, who is also the National Training Director of the Philippine Sports Institute.
Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and also morning and afternoon snacks will be provided with the canteen open from 6 am to 8 pm Mondays through Saturdays.
“This is good for the players especially after training, we’re just following what best suits us,” said coach Chris Yabut of the Philippine Pencak Silat Association.
Another Nutrition Hall is set to open operations next week at Philsports Complex for the national athletes and coaches training billeted in the facility.
