Defending champion Petron attempts to fight off complacency even as F2 Logistics calls in a replacement for its injured hitter when they clash with separate rivals on Saturday in the Philippine Superliga Grand Prix at Alonte Sports Arena in Biñan, Laguna.

Seemingly unbeatable with eight wins under its belt, Petron will face Cignal at 6 p.m., hoping to not get distracted by their spotless record.

“It’s good that we are winning, but we always have to treat each game as though we are the underdogs,” said Petron coach Shaq delos Santos.

The Blaze Spikers, champions in the past two conferences, will have “super imports” Kath Bell and Stephanie Niemer on their side.

“But I’m sure that my players are aware of our goal so I have nothing to worry about,” added Delos Santos.

F2 Logistics replaced injured Kim Kiana Dy with NCAA standout Cindy Imbo when they clash with PLDT at 4 p.m.

The Cargo Movers are on a two-game winning run, while the Power Hitters are coming from win over the Foton Tornadoes last Thursday.
