Aussies heavy Ironman 70.3 Davao favorites
The rock-solid Australian contingent returns to reclaim lost glory when the second Alveo Ironman 70.3 Davao is flagged off on March 24 at Azuela Cove.
Tim Reed, the former world champion who lost by nearly two minutes to Mauricio Mendez in last year’s inaugural staging where he was the solid favorite, leads the best from Down Under in the men’s side in the 1.9K swim, 90K bike, 21K run event.
Dimity Lee Duke, a many-time winner of local triathlon events in Australia, is also listed as one of the top bets in the women’s side together with compatriots Kirra Siedel and Lisa Tyack.

Assured of the full support of the local officials, SEI founder Wilfred Uytengsu sees another successful staging of the event, also held in conjunction with Davao’s 82nd anniversary celebrations.
