PBA D-League: Letran recovers, routs McDavid
Petron-Letran recovered after blowing a big lead to beat McDavid, 89-64, in the 2019 PBA D-League Monday at Paco Arena in Manila.
The Knights squandered a 17-point lead in the second quarter after McDavid fought back and closed within four, 58-54, with 1:16 left in the third period.
Article continues after this advertisementLetran regained control in the final frame thanks to a 10-0 burst as McDavid never threatened again.
“It’s a good win for a young team against a veteran team,” said Letran coach Bonnie Tan. “Again, we’re here to learn and to get experience.”
Jeo Ambohot had a near double-double with 17 points and eight rebounds while Jerrick Balanza collected 12 points, four assists and two steals for Letran (2-1).

“We relaxed but we’ll learn from games like these,” he said.
Dahrrell Caranguian scored 15 points and was the lone bright spot for McDavid, which dropped its third straight game.
