Saints grab piece of lead; knights pummel mcdavid for no. 2
St. Clare College-Virtual Reality gained a share of top spot in the Aspirants Group after surviving Batangas-EAC Generals, 80-73, in the PBA D-League Monday at Paco Arena in Manila.
The win was the Saints’ third straight as they climbed into a tie with University of Santo Tomas.
Junjie Hallare led St. Clare with 18 points and 15 rebounds with Irvin Palencia shooting 14 like Joshua Fontanilla.

Jeo Ambohot led the Knights with 17 points and eight rebounds while Jerrick Balanza added 12 points as the Knights won a second straight game after opening with a loss.
Larry Muyang turned in 11 points on a perfect 4-of-4 shooting from the field and had six assists for Letran.

The Knights blew a 17-point lead late in the second quarter as McDavid stormed back in the third behind Dahrrell Caranguian to pull within, 58-54, with 1:16 to go.
